It is with great excitement and pleasure that we announce the launch of a new partnership between three Algerian-American organizations established in the U.S: The Maghreb American Health Foundation (MAHF, Inc.), the Algerian American foundation for Culture, Education, Science and Technology (AAF-CEST), and the Algerian American Scientists Association (AASA, Inc.). These organizations agreed to join efforts to strengthen their visitation exchange programs between Algeria and the USA.
This partnership is designed specifically to help Algerian healthcare professionals interested in acquiring a first hand experience of healthcare practices in the USA. “Our support to this partnership initiative is another example of our commitment to go above and beyond ourselves to serve the people of Algeria” said Rahmouna Rouni, president of the MAHF, Inc. This partnership not only creates synergy between the three organizations, but will provide also health professionals in Algeria with a vehicle to build bridges with their colleagues in the USA. “Our ultimate goal is provide opportunities to those who practice medicine on a daily basis in various parts of Algeria so that they can better serve the Algerian people.” said Dr. Noureddine Melikechi, chairman of the AAF-CEST.
We are extremely grateful to the different partners and members and value their investment. “To our knowledge this is the first time such partnership is established. This is a testament to the importance of the unified vision and goals that all three organizations share. Namely, all Algerians abroad can actively contribute to the development of their country through collaboration with their counterparts in Algeria. And their efforts are better served when acting in harmony” said Dr. Taha Merghoub, vice president of AASA, Inc. We will work hard to make sure that this partnership is effective and encourage our colleagues and partners in Algeria to actively participate and take advantage of this initiative.
